Peter Pettit Director

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants New Zealand, Peter brings a wealth of accounting and general business acumen to his role as a Director.

Peter commenced his accounting career with Fletchers in the early 70's moving to CFO of Fletcher Residential seven years later where he provided invaluable leadership for a further eight years. Early into his role as CFO, Peter established Residential Mortgages Limited which opened up non-bank lending to new home buyers in New Zealand, and later into his tenure he became a Non-Executive Director of Wrightson Farmers Finance Limited. Peter also implemented a Unix-based real-time business system which was connected by phone lines within the housing group. At this time, this was the largest such system in New Zealand.

The 1990's saw Peter move into roles in business development in the Fletcher Energy Division that included identifying and investing in new energy related technology venture capital start-ups that would create the businesses of the future. Peter was also responsible for, and was a Director of, the highly successful investment in Capstone Turbine Corporation, a Californian start-up that subsequently listed on the NASDAQ.

Peter left Fletchers at the time of the separation of the various Fletcher Challenge business units to pursue his own business interests. This included venture capital start-ups, one of which he felt would benefit from a web-based business solution. In his search, Peter met Ted and there was an immediate meeting of minds.
