Rafael joined ActionStep after 10 years working with customer support and systems administration in the ICT industry. Originally from Brazil, he started as a PHP developer for a web development company, working on projects varying from e-commerce to integrating Flash websites with PHP backends. As Rafael's career progressed he became experienced in the role of liaising with the end user and gained a strong understanding of customer relationship management. He has also had the chance to work with a broad range of technologies and systems which ensures he can identify and deliver a varied and innovative list of possible solutions. Rafael moved to New Zealand on an invitation to work for WizBang Technologies as a Customer Support Technician. He then became their ICT Manager and developed the company's infrastructure using mostly open-source technologies. Rafael has extensive knowledge of Linux, Windows and Mac OS operating systems, as well as database engines and virtualization technologies. He is also a VMware Certified Professional having recently completed the vSphere exam. Rafael works at the Auckland office as an Application Specialist focusing in the Systems Administration area.
