Tony Johnston Director

Tony is a seasoned company executive and director having worked in senior and developmental roles in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the USA in the Forest Products and the Food Industries.

Tony has been involved in the Forest Products Industry for the last sixteen years. For the nine years following 1991, he held various senior positions within Fletcher Challenge Forest in New Zealand culminating with four years in the USA establishing and developing the company’s USA operations focused in the moulding and millwork distribution sector. Prior to establishing LumberLink with three colleagues in 2003, Tony was CEO of Thames Group, New Zealand’s second largest processor of Radiata pruned logs and marketer of clear pine. While principal and owner of Mainsail Services Ltd, Tony helped establish the Wood Processors Association of New Zealand and acted as its initial CEO while also establishing WOODCO the pan industry peak body and chaired that organization during its first year.
