To our potential new hire…

Today, I have the fabulous job of helping our Global Customer Support Manager hire two new members to his team. He’s busy making sure our customers get all the help they need to be able to get the most out of our product so I thought I would take the reins write an unconventional job advert.

I thought about writing one of those adverts where we tell you what the roles and responsibilities are, what qualifications we need you to have etc… However, that’s boring and it’s not very Actionstep. Don’t get me wrong, here at Actionstep we do all have jobs and responsibilities, and we have skills. We are also a bit quirky, love to rip up the rule book, do things differently and have a bit of fun.

With all that said, you’d probably like to know who we are and what our customer happiness team does …

On a daily basis they…

  • Communicate with our customers via chat, email, phone to help them with any questions they have about using our product
  • Work amongst the team to problem solve and help our customers get our product to do the things they need it to do
  • Work with the product development team to help them understand what might need fixing
  • Write up ‘how to’ guides for our customers
  • And so much more…

And we are…

  • A global fast growing tech business
  • Homegrown from NZ
  • Based in the CBD

Here is what I and other’s in our company think of this team…

These are the heroes of our business. They help our customers get what they need from our product, and it’s a big product. They make sure the business is aware of any customer that needs more help, support and TLC and they hold the fort when our product team is trying to find solutions to client’s challenges. This team are gems, they really care about our customers and want to help them each and every day.

I also thought I would ask one of our new starters what they think of this role…

‘Working as support member within the Actionstep’s customer happiness team provides a different experience from your average customer service role, it’s a fun, interactive and supportive environment with simplified processes that aim to solve customer queries as efficiently as possible whilst learning new things along the way. So far being with Actionstep’s has been a fun and enjoyable experience that definitely is unlike other customer service roles that I have experienced’
