Actionstep's 2022 Highlights

As we the near end of another exciting year at Actionstep, we believe it’s a great time to reflect on what we’ve learned and how we’ve grown. So, before we officially say goodbye to 2022, we’re sharing some of our big highlights and team accomplishments here at Actionstep.

Big Announcements

2022 was a very news-worthy year for us! Here’s a quick recap of some of our biggest announcements.

Actionstep Joined Forces with LawMaster

In September, we were thrilled to announce the acquisition of LawMaster. The transaction brought together two innovative practice management software companies serving the needs of mid-market law firms, and combines more than 50 years of pioneering legaltech development and legal sector knowledge.

Actionstep Payments Launched

As one of the most important touchpoints in lawyer-client interactions, it’s vital that the payment process is seamless for both the client and the law firm. That’s why we introduced Actionstep Payments in November. It’s a new built-in feature (now available in the US) that allows your law firm to accept flexible online payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, and ACH (echeck) within your Actionstep system. In addition to Actionstep Payments, we launched many exciting new features and improvements throughout the year under our other key themes of Usability and Accounting, Billing and Trust (ABT). Actionstep Academy is Open for Learning

In December, we announced the launch of Actionstep Academy, a new comprehensive online resource to help customers of every experience level. With tips and tricks, product updates, how-to videos, and more all in one convenient place, this extensive resource library is designed to help our customers get as much value as possible out of Actionstep. Unlimited Paid Leave for Actionsteppers

The past two years highlighted the need for employers to support employees’ health and wellbeing in meaningful new ways. Actionstep decided to address this need by testing unlimited paid leave for all employees for a year—and in April, we even went a bit viral in New Zealand with the announcement. So far, the pilot has been a big success, with Actionsteppers taking the time they need to recharge, traveling all around the globe, and sharing fantastic photos of their adventures with the team.

Big Milestones

This year Actionstep reached (and surpassed!) several notable milestones.

22,000+ Subscribers

What an appropriate number for 2022! Actionstep met and surpassed the 22,000 mark for subscribers this year. We are so grateful to all our new subscribers and those who have been with us through the years; it is an honor to support your journeys as law firms.

2,000+ Webinar Registrations

We kept in touch with current and potential subscribers through 54 webinars with more than 2,000 registrations. Keep an eye on our webinar schedule to find out about upcoming live and on-demand webinars on deck for 2023.

6,000+ Social Media Followers

We topped 6,000 followers on our social media channels in 2022. If you’re not following along with us already, you can find us on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. We love connecting with you there, and it’s a great way to keep up with our latest announcements, new content, helpful tips, upcoming event information, and more.

5 New Partners

Actionstep was thrilled to add five new partners in 2022, including Element Technologies, 3545 Consulting, Sikich LegalTech, PwC Australia NewLaw, and Zeus Tech Solutions.

150 Actionsteppers Around the World

Our team grew to include 150 talented people this year. We have an amazing group bringing expertise in engineering, product development, customer success, sales, finance, marketing, and people leadership, all spread across multiple continents and MANY different time zones.

Big Happenings

This was an important year for in-person events getting back underway all across the globe. We love any opportunity to connect with the legal community at large and attended many events this year:

• 8 Australia/New Zealand Events, including hosting “The Future of Mid-Market Law,” featuring guest speakers from PEXA, PwC Australia NewLaw, and Coleman Greig Lawyers. The Actionstep team also attended ALPMA, Lawlink 2022, ChilliIQ Lawtech Summit 2022, ALPMA networking events, NetDocuments Inspire APAC, and New Zealand Law Society Auckland Branch Event.
• 8 UK Events, including LegalEx 2022, British Legal Tech Forum, LPM Conference, Battle of the Legal Brains, Surrey Law Society Awards, NetDocuments Inspire EMEA, Pie Club Launch Event, and Berks, Bucks & Oxfordshire Law Society Awards.
• 15 US Events, including three national conferences with ABA TECHSHOW, ALA Annual Conference, and ILTACON; 10 association events with local chapters of ALA, estate planning organizations, and more; and two partner events with NetDocuments Inspire US and Element Technologies 2nd Annual Golf Tournament.

Big Fun

We also made sure to save some time for team fun in 2022. Actionsteppers traveled back and forth to hang out and connect face-to-face—in many cases for the very first time! We ate, drank, painted, played (and won!) pub trivia, and generally had a blast getting to know each other better.
