If that sounds like you, we are looking for an ambitious digital marketing coordinator to own our social and search marketing for our product. This role is an opportunity for a 1-2 year digital marketer or recent marketing graduate to join a growing technology business and carve out a crucial position in this NZ company, as we continue to expand our footprint in international markets.


Working closely with the product marketing leader, you will plan and execute digital marketing aspects of our product marketing campaigns. You will integrate a wide range of digital channels, including SEO/SEM, social media, and display advertising to achieve our product marketing KPIs across 3 distinct product plans and measurably raise Actionstep’s product awareness. You will report on all related analytics and learn to pivot your activities based on results.


  • Establish channels & KPIs: Set up key channels and agree KPIs based on industry insights and business metrics.
  • Reporting systems: Measure, interpret and report (in plain language) on the performance of digital marketing campaigns against overall product marketing & lead generation goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Social media: Build and maintain social media presence and engagement through product communications. Collaborate on product related content creation.
  • SEO: Work closely with marketing automation coordinator to optimize SEO.
  • Advertising: Set up and optimize PPC, AdWords, display and ad serving tools. Manage product campaigns daily to maximize advertising budget.
  • Experiments: Execute, and measure A/B and multivariate experiments and conversion tests. Pivot tactics based on results. Maintain a growth mindset – learn and iterate.
  • Trends and Insights: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital product marketing and report these internally. Identify competitor and industry digital product marketing trends - optimize spend and performance based on - insights. Evaluate emerging technologies and provide business case for adoption where appropriate.
  • Digital Champion: Over time, become an internal coach for staff using digital channels and tools to promote our products and interpret results. Brainstorm new and creative product growth strategies with colleagues.


  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
  • Strong grasp of current product marketing & digital marketing landscape
  • High level analytical and data-driven thinking skills
  • Experience in a similar role in a product business or demonstrable understanding of the tools and channels involved
  • Ability to set up and optimize online search and display ad campaigns
  • High level analytical and data-driven thinking skills
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar inbound automation systems
  • Understands how to optimize landing pages
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
