Actionstep is a fast-growing New Zealand tech company, with a global customer base and team. We are expanding our Product Marketing Team to support our business growth and are currently on the lookout for a talented Website Developer/Digital Designer to join our team.

THE ROLE

As a Website Developer and Digital Designer, you will be responsible for delivering intuitive user experiences across a portfolio of global websites, designing graphic elements, digital assets and building digital communication templates. You will translate product and marketing requirements into engaging online user experiences, working collaboratively with members of the Product and Marketing Teams to map customer journeys, design workflows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes. You will conduct user tests to observe behaviour leading to a great user experience through ongoing iterative improvement.

What we are specifically looking for?

  • 5+ years commercial experience as a Website/UI/UX Designer/Developer.

  • Experience working closely with product, marketing and technology teams in a highly collaborative and iterative manner.

  • Fluent in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JS based templates.

  • You can produce designs using tools such as Illustrator, Figma or Sketch.

  • Experience implementing Content Management Systems.

  • Experience with responsive design.

  • Experience of working with static website generators, e.g. Jekyll.

  • Experience using advanced layout engines such as Flexbox, or CSS Grid.
