If you’ve ever had trouble getting your logo to look perfect on your document merge templates, we’ve got good news for you. These new image resize tools will help you to not only determine the width and height of the image, but also to re-scale it.
While this sounds like a subtle change, it means you can now upload high-resolution images and resize them on the document without compromising on quality.
Tip: Using the width and height fields is still a good way to compress the image file so that your document doesn’t take up too much storage space.
Here’s an example:
If you upload a 10mb image which is 10,000 x 10,000 pixels, and you want it to be 400 x 400 pixels in high res, you may want to use the following merge field options:
This will resize the actual image file to 1200×1200 but display it on the document in 400×400, meaning that it will be 3x the DPI (Dots Per Inch) compared to regular width=400.
This is particularly handy for our new image signature feature as it helps avoid your signature appearing pixelated.
Note: This feature is currently only available to users on Enhanced Billing Mode.
