It’s been an exciting journey since Soluno joined the Actionstep team. Over the past year, we’ve been focused on unifying these two platforms in North America to continue powering scaling law firms.
As part of that evolution, the Soluno platform you know and trust is now exclusively being referred to as Legal Accounting.
This isn’t a sudden shift. It’s a natural next step in our mission to simplify legal operations and offer end-to-end solutions for law firms. And while the Soluno name has changed (which some of you may have never known), the powerful, reliable legal accounting software and the expert team behind it remain firmly in place and deeply committed to your success.
What’s behind the name change?
When Soluno became part of Actionstep, it marked the beginning of a closer integration between legal practice management and legal accounting. Since then, we’ve focused on four key priorities:
- Ensuring stability and continuity for existing Legal Accounting customers
- Supporting and growing the Legal Accounting team with new resources and structure
- Merging our platforms and teams for a unified company
- Laying the foundation for a seamlessly connected platform—practice management and legal accounting together
We’re proud to say we’ve achieved those goals and now serve more than 1,300 Legal Accounting customers as part of a 40,000+ strong global user base across Actionstep.
The name change to Actionstep Legal Accounting reflects this progress. It brings clarity and unity across our platform, products, and brand.
What this means for existing Legal Accounting customers

And here’s what’s evolving:
- You’ll see the Actionstep Legal Accounting name in more places
- We’ll share clear update schedules and product improvements
- You’ll gain access to Actionstep Academy, our content hub for learning about best practices on how to use Legal Accounting to its fullest
- You’ll have the option to explore Actionstep Practice Management, our robust and configurable practice management platform
