These new hires and acquisitions of FilePro and LawMaster (with their talented teams) bring with them a wealth of industry-specific experience, making a rockstar team of legal tech professionals. Their collective expertise is poised to help lead Actionstep as we continue to rapidly expand and transform the way midmarket law firms operate and thrive in the modern legal landscape. Beth Thompson, Senior Director of Market Growth

This week, the Actionstep team welcomes legal tech sales expert and industry thought leader Beth Thompson in her new role as Senior Director of Market Growth. Beth is well known and respected in the legal community, having spent 30 years helping law firms achieve growth, better productivity, and greater efficiencies by leveraging the best legal technology possible. Her experience and leadership will play a critical role in continued market growth to further establish Actionstep as the legal practice management platform of choice for midsize law firms.

Beth brings deep legal tech expertise to her role with Actionstep, drawing on her experience at Affinity Consulting Group, NetDocuments, BigHand, and Thomson Reuters. She is active in legal associations such as ALA (Association of Legal Administrators) and ILTA (International Legal Technology Association) and co-hosts her Powerful Leaders. No Apologies podcast, centered around women who are owning their power and changing the world.

Early Stephens, Global CEO

Early Stephens joined Actionstep in 2022 as Global CEO. Early is focused on accelerating our global go-to-market strategy, with an emphasis on the North American market. His leadership across sales, product, and corporate development has led to strategic customer and internal team growth as part of a company-wide effort to be the legal practice management platform of choice for the midsize law firm market. Early has a strong track record in technology and SaaS companies, including at Thomson Reuters, and most recently as CEO of Infogix, a data intelligence platform.

Valerie Connell, Senior Vice President, Product

In March, experienced SaaS legal tech product leader Valerie Connell joined our team as Senior Vice President, Product. At Actionstep, Valerie is focused on further honing and expanding product offerings for midsize law firms and scaling its world-class product and engineering foundation to meet this mission. She previously led the high-growth product team at NetDocuments, a leading cloud-based document and records management platform.

Global Partnerships Team

Business development, product innovation, and strategic partnership building go hand in hand, so the rapid growth of Actionstep’s partner network is no accident. Led by Christian McLaughlin, who joined our team as VP of Global Partnerships in April 2022, Actionstep continues to uplevel our partnerships with additional legal technology leaders to deliver products, services, and best practices to customers specific to their technology needs and expectations. Christian brings years of valuable legal tech and SaaS experience to Actionstep from senior roles at Litify and TargetX. We have added two experienced legaltech professionals to further enable partner expertise in delivering successful customer implementation projects and to expand our partnership community in line with customer growth. Ravi Rao has joined Christian's team as Director of Partnerships, North America, while Richard Jones has taken on the role of Director of Partnerships, Australia & New Zealand. Ravi also brings deep legal tech expertise, with previous roles at FulcrumGT and The Estate Registry, while Richard’s expertise in technology sales and marketing spans a variety of technology companies throughout Europe and Asia Pacific.

North America Sales Team

Further positioning our team for success, legal industry expert Kurt Anderson brought his business development talents and deep industry relationships to Actionstep in November 2022, followed by Edward Davis in December 2022, both as Senior Account Executives. Kurt brings a reputation for excellence and a wealth of legal industry knowledge from previous roles at FileTrail, Zero, Element Technologies, and NetDocuments. Edward brings a deep understanding of the workings of law firms and the benefits of legal technology from his previous role at Litify. We also welcomed top-tier engineer, Levon Keusseyan, as Principal Solutions Engineer back in December 2022. Levon brings years of technology, SaaS, presales, and product management experience from his time at Litify, nCino, and GE.
